Filipe Amado
Filipe Amado is a creative director, documentary filmmaker and theologian whose work explores how artistic expression bridges cultural and spiritual conversations in contemporary society. His feature documentary Dust & Color (2025) follows artists across the US, Canada, and Brazil as they navigate the intersection of creativity, faith, and purpose, tackling life's deepest questions through their craft. Through character-driven storytelling, Filipe invites audiences into deeper encounters with the sacred dimensions of creative calling.
With a Master of Arts in Christianity & the Arts from Regent College and experience working across more than 17 countries, Filipe's storytelling is shaped by cross-cultural dialogue and a commitment to vulnerability as wholeness. His films create space for authentic exploration—embracing complexity rather than offering easy answers—and serve as catalysts for conversations that bridge divides between art and faith communities.
Previous works include the short documentaries Movements in the Dwindling of Time (2020) and Between Chaos & Beauty (2021) , as well as serving as editor-in-chief for De Onde Brota a Esperança (Where Hope Begins, 2023), a collaborative publication featuring Brazilian writers and artists. Filipe is also a participant in the Brehm Center's Resilient Artist Project, continuing to explore the intersection between art, and faith.
